About the role
Crowley is seeking a Port Operations Director to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for San Juan port and terminal activities. The role focuses on safe, efficient, and cost-effective cargo movement, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, workforce performance, and continuous improvement.
The Director collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to optimize terminal capacity, enhance customer service, maintain labor relations, and achieve financial and operational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily terminal operations, including stevedoring, yard operations, security, vessel scheduling, and engineering support.
- Coordinate with vessel operations, terminal teams, and other departments to support efficient cargo movement and operational performance.
- Manage maintenance and repair activities to support equipment reliability and operational readiness.
- Develop and implement operating standards and procedures.
