This position leads the financial accounting and reporting for Casa Collection’s portfolio of hospitality properties, ensuring accurate, timely, and decision-ready financial information for internal and external stakeholders.Day-to-day responsibilities include managing general ledger activities, preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling bank, credit card, balance sheet, guest ledger, deposit, and clearing accounts, monitoring fixed assets, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes.The Portfolio Accounting Manager will analyze financial performance, prepare management reports and dashboards, and partner closely with property operations and leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and strategic decision-making.This role will also contribute to the continued development of Casa Collection’s accounting infrastructure by strengthening internal controls, refining accounting procedures, performing audits, improving system integrations, and identifying opportunities to automate and streamline financial workflows across the portfolio.The ideal candidate combines strong hospitality accounting expertise with an operational mindset and a high level of technological fluency. This individual should be comfortable working across accounting, property management, payment, reporting, and other hospitality technology platforms and should actively identify opportunities to use technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, reporting, and financial visibility.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or other relevant professional certification is a plus.Hospitality accounting experience is required, with demonstrated knowledge of hotel, lodging, or multi-property hospitality financial operations.Experience working with hospitality financial processes, including room revenue, guest and deposit ledgers, payment processing and clearing accounts, bank and credit card reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, month-end close, and property-level financial reporting.Professional accounting or finance experience in Puerto Rico is required, including practical familiarity with Puerto Rico accounting, tax, regulatory, compliance, and business requirements relevant to hospitality operations.Strong financial reporting skills, including preparation and review of financial statements, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow reporting, and management reports.Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing procedures, and internal controls.Solid finance and analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends and variances, and support budgeting, forecasting, and operational decision-making.Experience managing fixed assets, including capitalization policies, asset tracking, and depreciation schedules.Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and financial modeling.Strong technological aptitude with the ability to learn, navigate, and optimize accounting, hospitality, property management, payment, reporting, and other business systems.Working knowledge of AI-enabled and automation tools for professional productivity and process improvement, with the ability to identify responsible applications for financial analysis, reporting, workflow automation, data organization, documentation, and other accounting efficiencies while maintaining appropriate controls, confidentiality, data integrity, and professional oversight.Demonstrated ability to evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, strengthen controls, and create more efficient and scalable accounting workflows.Experience working within a multi-property, multi-entity, or portfolio environment is strongly preferred.Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple properties, priorities, and reporting deadlines in a fast-paced hospitality environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies and follow issues through resolution.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate financial information into clear, actionable insights for operational and executive leadership.Ability to work effectively across departments and directly with property-level teams in an on-site environment.High degree of professional judgment, discretion, integrity, and accountability when handling confidential financial and business information.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the full accounting function across Casa Collection’s portfolio of hospitality properties.Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements and reporting.Oversee general ledger activities, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and hospitality-specific ledgers and clearing accounts.Oversee accounts receivable and payable functions, including direct supervision of the Accounts Payable & Receivable team member.Manage cash flow reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with leadership.Maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, procedures, and appropriate segregation of duties across the portfolio.Ensure compliance with applicable Puerto Rico accounting, tax, regulatory, and financial reporting requirements.Maintain year-end-ready books and coordinate financial documentation and reporting with external CPAs and financial professionals.Partner with ownership, the General Manager, and operations to provide clear financial insights, identify risks, and support strategic decision-making.Leverage accounting technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, controls, and financial visibility.Preferred Technology ExperienceExperience with hospitality PMS, POS, accounting, payment processing, business intelligence, or financial reporting platforms is strongly preferred. Familiarity with systems such as QuickBooks, Cloudbeds, hospitality revenue and payment platforms, and other integrated financial technology environments is required.Candidates should demonstrate curiosity and adaptability toward emerging technology and a willingness to continuously evaluate tools that can improve the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of Casa Collection’s accounting and financial operations.
