Neural Circuit Formation & Brain Diseases Lab | INCyL (Salamanca)

The Neural Circuit Formation and Brain Diseases Laboratory at the Institute of Neurosciences of Castilla and León (INCyL), led by Prof. Rubén Deogracias Pastor, is seeking a highly motivated and competitive postdoctoral candidate. The selected candidate will apply for the prestigious Tatiana Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowships 2026.

Research Project Focus:
Our research explores how the MSK1 protein intrinsically regulates the development and wiring of neural circuits in the mouse brain, and how those roles in neurodegenerative and psychiatric disorders.

Fellowship Funding Benefits:
• Up to 3 years (annual renewable)
• Gross salary: €33,000 (Yr 1), €35,000 (Yr 2), €36,000 (Yr 3)
• Extra Funding: €5,000 to €9,000 yearly allowance for conferences, travel, and publications.

Mandatory Eligibility Criteria (Tatiana Foundation):
• Nationalist/Citizenship: Must hold Spanish nationality.
• Degree Timeline: Must hold a PhD in NeuroScience or related fields obtained in 2022 or later.
• Mobility Rule: Must join a research group and host center different from where the predoctoral (PhD) stage was completed.
• Candidate Profile: Excellent academic record and a highly competitive CV with high-impact publications.
