Power BI Developer

TCS is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer for supporting an important global customer. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing scalable, high‑impact analytics solutions and driving data‑driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of advanced Power BI reports and dashboards that deliver actionable insights.Translate complex business requirements into scalable and maintainable data models and visualizations.Apply advanced data visualization techniques and semantic modeling to support enterprise analytics initiatives.Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define reporting strategies and prioritize analytics needs.Guide and mentor junior developers, providing training, code reviews, and best practice recommendations.Ensure intuitive and impactful visualizations by applying UI/UX design principles.Partner with Data Engineering teams to access, integrate, and validate data from multiple sources.Support product owner activities such as backlog refinement, user story definition, and alignment with business goals.

Technical Requirements & Expertise

5+ years of strong hands-on experience with Power BI development and dashboard design.Advanced proficiency in DAX and Power BI semantic modeling.Strong experience working with Power BI dataflows.Solid understanding of data visualization principles for effective storytelling and analysis.Experience performing complex ad hoc analysis using Excel and Azure SQL databases.Strong knowledge of enterprise data warehouse environments, including data architecture, integration, and governance.Advanced SQL skills for large-scale data processing and analytics.Familiarity with Databricks (Databricks One, Lakehouse, AI/BI Genie, Dashboards) is a plus.Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable analytics solutions and identify improvement opportunities.Experience managing reporting backlogs, defining requirements, and aligning deliverables with business strategy.Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
