About the role
As a Principal Automation Validation Engineer in Automotive V&V, you will help ensure the safety, reliability, and performance of next-generation vehicle systems. You will lead automation frameworks to streamline testing of complex ECUs, ADAS features, and infotainment systems, helping transition traditional testing into autonomous CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks for SIL (Software-in-the-Loop), HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop), and MIL (Model-in-the-Loop) environments.
- Define automated test strategies for complex automotive systems and maximize coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
- Develop reusable test scripts and libraries to automate diagnostic (UDS), communication (CAN/LIN/Ethernet), and functional tests.
- Integrate automated testing into DevOps pipelines using Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- Lead root-cause analysis of system failures using bus logging tools to trace issues across distributed vehicle networks.
- Ensure automation processes and test cases align with ISO 26262 and ASPICE.
- Guide the V&V team on coding best practices, automation logic, and testing methodologies.
Requirements
- Expert-level proficiency in Python, specifically for test automation, and C/C++.
- Familiarity with Java or Rust is a plus.
- Deep understanding of automotive communication protocols.
