This is a key role responsible for ensuring technical excellence, process robustness, and compliance with quality standards within a regulated environment.
Required ProfileGeneral Job DescriptionThe Process Engineer is responsible for driving process improvement initiatives focused on value stream optimization, quality enhancement, and cost reduction. This role leads cross-functional projects, analyzes production data to identify root causes, and implements sustainable solutions. The position requires close collaboration with production, engineering, quality, and R&D teams, as well as the ability to manage projects without direct authority. The engineer also supports new product introductions, ensures process capability, and promotes Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices across the organization.
Education• A bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field such as Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is required
Experience• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment• Experience in process development and manufacturing environments• Experience in extrusion or injection molding (preferred)• Background in process improvement, industrial manufacturing, or medical device manufacturing• Experience leading projects and working with cross-functional teams
Knowledge, Training and Specific SkillsKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principlesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills (root cause analysis, statistical analysis)Experience with process validation (IQ, OQ, PQ) and process capability studiesAbility to manage projects and coordinate resources effectivelyStrong communication and interpersonal skillsHands-on approach with ability to work in production environments
Key ResponsibilitiesLead process improvement projects to eliminate waste and improve efficiency across the value streamAnalyze production data and perform root cause analysis to resolve process issuesSupport design and development of new products and processes with manufacturing focusCollaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, production, sales) to implement solutionsDevelop and implement training, procedures, and continuous improvement initiativesEnsure process validation, capability, and compliance with quality and regulatory standards
