Product Design Engineer

About the role

Recluta Talenthunter / Latin America is seeking a Product Design Engineer to develop, evaluate, and implement innovative design solutions for products. The role coordinates and documents assigned project development, organizes and participates in testing and validation on site or at the client’s plant, and provides technical support to the client when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Receive conceptual proposals from other collaborators and complete the corresponding design process control forms.
• Use advanced CAD software to create detailed design models and drawings that meet technical specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze design concepts using FEA and CFD tools to optimize performance and ensure structural integrity.
• Design pipe sealing solutions and perform basic calculations, primarily at the detailed level, with possible participation at the conceptual level.
• Coordinate and lead design projects from concept to completion, working with PMO on planning, scheduling, and coordination with other departments.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality assurance, and R&D teams to integrate design solutions into production processes.
• Provide technical support and guidance throughout the product lifecycle, suggest mechanical design improvements, and present alternatives to improve production efficiency.
• Prepare technical documentation, including design reports, test plans, user manuals, and detailed product drawings for prototypes and production.
