Product Development Engineer MOLVAVE

MOL/VAVE Product Engineers are responsible for maintaining and improving released products and their associated manufacturing processes. They work closely with project managers, operations, quality, sourcing, and product managers to sustain existing products from an engineering perspective.
Product Engineer Responsibilities:
Design and draft the engineering drawings and schematics of products using designing and simulation software Develop PCB layouts Developing design ideas based on customer interests, budgets, and market research.Selecting product materials and designing the product manufacturing process.Meeting with the development team to discuss product ideas.Test products (prototypes) & adjust design via simulation software and evaluate the product prototype to identify potential safety hazardsProduct Engineer Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering fieldPrevious experience working as a product engineer.In-depth knowledge of Solidworks, PADs, Altium or similarIn-depth knowledge of Electrical codes and wiring diagrams · Verifiable experience with SAP or similar ERP programs.
· Background with use ISO and engineering repository software
Experience with 3D printing.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Good project management skills.Creative and passionate about creating solutions to customer problemsAble to work efficiently with minimal supervisionAble to work in seated in front of a computer for long hours at a time· MOL/VAVE Product engineers will be able to create schematics, wiring diagrams, electrical layouts and PCBs

· Capable of creating and using .stp files for production

· Must be able to travel to Southwire manufacturing facilities and contract manufacturers approx. 15%
