Product Engineer

About the role

As Product Engineer at Lear Corporation, you will have an excellent opportunity to work in an international and growing environment, reporting directly to Lead Product.

Responsibilities

• Review and design harness plans.
• Validate products against drawings and customer specifications for engineering changes, new starts and transfers.
• Review, compare and upload bills of materials (BOM) in the REN2/QAD database for harness construction.
• Prepare, review, compare and load cutting sheets in the UCS system, and generate visual aids for special processes.
• Prepare, review, compare and load standard times for harness manufacturing.
• Create and/or review cost studies in SEM (Smart Execution Management) and PCNs in EDS (Electrical Distribution System) for each engineering change proposed by the client.
• Prepare DCN (Design Change Notice) and BCN (BOM Change Notice) to notify the involved team about engineering changes implemented in the plant.
• Ensure 100% compliance with Product Engineering procedures for engineering changes, cutting sheets, BOM, teardown and product validation, and ensure availability of related documentation.
• Generate and analyze cost-reduction ideas for the company.
