Role Description The Project Manager / Engineer – Sistema Integrado de Monitoreo de Sargazo is a full-time, on-site role based in Punta Cana. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing projects related to the integrated sargassum monitoring system, ensuring timely execution, quality standards, and alignment with operational goals. Day-to-day tasks include managing project schedules and resources, coordinating with expeditors and logistics teams, supervising inspections of equipment and systems, and ensuring accurate data collection and reporting. The role involves close collaboration with engineering, operations, and field teams to optimize monitoring processes, troubleshoot technical issues, and support continuous improvement. The Project Manager / Engineer will also contribute to stakeholder communication, documentation, and compliance with safety and environmental best practices.
Qualifications
Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.Experience as an Expeditor and in Expediting activities to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services.Inspection skills for monitoring system components, field operations, and quality control procedures.Logistics Management capabilities for coordinating transport, storage, and deployment of equipment in coastal and marine environments.Degree in engineering, environmental science, marine science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and data-driven decision-making.Ability to work on-site in Punta Cana, collaborate with field and technical teams, and adapt to changing operational conditions.Experience in coastal, marine, or environmental projects, and familiarity with monitoring systems or climate-tech solutions is an advantage.Clear written and verbal communication skills in en_US; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
