Project Support Engineer (Electrical or Civil)

About the role

Koch Engineered Solutions is looking for an Electrical or Civil Project Support Engineer to support utility-scale solar and BESS EPC projects. The role supports self-perform and contracted construction and helps ensure safe, compliant, high-quality, and timely project execution.

The position is based at the Querétaro office (Tech Center) and requires less than 10% international travel for business meetings and client visits.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering coordination, design alignment, drawing updates, and stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Serve as the project’s technical resource, ensuring designs, drawings, and deliverables meet contractual requirements, design intent, constructability standards, and project objectives.
• Facilitate engineering and site development meetings with internal teams, external partners, and project stakeholders.
• Resolve civil and structural challenges involving site preparation, foundation design, soil stabilization, drainage, and erosion control.
• Balance cost, schedule, quality, and risk through value engineering and innovative design solutions.
• Ensure environmental and regulatory compliance, including SWPPP implementation and adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate engineering risks and project constraints, prioritizing high-value and high-risk issues.
• Partner with procurement, scheduling, construction, quality, commissioning, and design teams.
