About the role
Softtek is a global provider of process-driven IT solutions, founded in 1982. It has 15 Global Delivery Centers and helps corporations in over 20 countries improve and produce predictable outcomes. Softtek is the creator and a leader of the nearshore industry.
This role focuses on developing and maintaining applications with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, ReactJS and AWS, including migrating legacy Java applications to an AWS Serverless architecture.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain software applications using Python, JavaScript/TypeScript and ReactJS.
- Migrate legacy applications from an on-premises Java technology stack and Java frameworks to an AWS Serverless architecture.
- Write clean, efficient and maintainable code using best practices and coding standards, with a focus on serverless architectures and AWS technologies such as AWS Lambda and Amazon API Gateway.
- Develop responsive and intuitive user interfaces using ReactJS.
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices, focusing on efficiency and performance.
- Use Docker for containerization and streamline development workflows using Git.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
- Experience with Python and frameworks such as FastAPI or Django.
- Proficiency in front-end development using ReactJS.
- Experience with AWS, including Lambda, API Gateway, Amazon S3 and Serverless architectures.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid understanding of containerization with Docker and version control using Git.
- Communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Nice to have: Ability to understand Java code and Java framework-based applications to maintain and migrate them; experience with Apache Kafka.
