QA Testing Lead - Workday HCM Payroll

Ready to take ownership of a high-impact Workday implementation?We're looking for a Senior QA Testing Lead to lead the entire testing lifecycle for a major Workday HCM & Payroll expansion. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll own the QA strategy, execution, and delivery while partnering with Product, HR, Payroll, Engineering, and third-party vendors to ensure a successful enterprise deployment.
What You'll Do✅ Own the end-to-end QA strategy, master test plan, and execution roadmap across Prototype, SIT, E2E, UAT, Payroll Parallel, Regression, and Stabilization.✅ Design and execute test scenarios for Workday HCM, Payroll, integrations, and hire-to-retire workflows.✅ Lead functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing across Workday, Legion, and connected systems.✅ Execute two parallel payroll testing cycles, reconcile Workday vs. legacy payroll, and resolve discrepancies.✅ Validate integrations (EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, APIs, and file-based integrations).✅ Manage the full defect lifecycle and provide executive-level QA reporting.✅ Coordinate UAT with HR, Payroll, and Operations teams.✅ Support post-go-live stabilization and the first payroll cycle.✅ Build reusable QA assets for future releases.
What We're Looking For✔️ 7+ years of hands-on experience in HCM systems testing, implementation, or functional consulting.✔️ Proven experience leading the full QA lifecycle for enterprise HCM/ERP implementations.✔️ Strong expertise in Workday HCM and Payroll, including earnings, deductions, tax handling, and payroll reconciliation.✔️ Experience executing parallel payroll testing cycles with formal sign-off ownership.✔️ Deep knowledge of integration testing (EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, APIs, and file-based integrations).✔️ Strong experience creating test plans, scripts, traceability matrices, and defect logs.✔️ Experience leading UAT across cross-functional business teams.✔️ Experience with JIRA, Smartsheet, ServiceNow, or similar defect management tools.✔️ English advanced
