About the role

As a Quality Superintendent, you will lead the Quality organization supporting manufacturing operations, driving quality excellence, operational performance, and continuous improvement across the business.
This role requires a strong presence on the manufacturing floor, partnering closely with Production, Engineering, Operations, and global Quality teams to solve complex challenges, improve productivity, and ensure customer satisfaction. You will lead and develop a team of Quality Engineers while driving measurable improvements in quality, yield, throughput, and overall manufacturing performance.
Experience with optical fiber, fiber optic cables, cable assemblies, or related manufacturing processes is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the Quality Engineering team by establishing clear goals, ownership, accountability, and performance expectations.
- Drive improvements in Scrap, Rework, First Pass Yield (FPY), Rolled Throughput Yield (RTY), Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), customer quality incidents, and quality escapes.
- Maintain a strong presence on the production floor to support manufacturing teams and resolve critical quality and production issues.
- Use structured problem-solving methodologies and data-driven decision-making to identify root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations to eliminate quality constraints affecting production output and efficiency.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI), product transfers, process changes, and production ramp-up activities.
- Collaborate with customers and global Quality organizations, including manufacturing facilities in Asia and Europe.
