Quality Superintendent (Production)

About the role

Molex is seeking a Quality Superintendent to lead the execution of the quality strategy directly on the production floor. The role focuses on strengthening process performance, effective problem-solving, and compliance with automotive industry requirements. It requires a strong presence in the plant and coordination with teams working across multiple shifts.

You will be part of the Quality team, working closely with Production, Engineering, Operations, and other support functions. You will lead engineers, quality technicians, and quality auditors supporting multiple shifts across the operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily quality activities on the production floor, establish priorities, and ensure timely responses to process deviations.
• Develop and coordinate a quality team of engineers, technicians, and quality auditors working across different shifts.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 requirements, Control Plans, and applicable automotive customer requirements.
• Drive problem-solving methodologies, root cause analysis, and 8D investigations, and ensure corrective actions are implemented and verified for effectiveness.
• Partner with Production and Engineering teams to prevent recurrence, reduce risk, and improve electronic assembly process performance.
• Develop and execute quality strategies that promote change, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making.
• Maintain effective communication with leaders across all shifts and collaborate with global teams as needed.

Requirements

• Experience leading Quality teams within the automotive industry.
