RD Technician I Electrophysiology Central Shift

About the role

At Heraeus Medevio, this position supports builds for new product development and transfer projects. It assembles and produces high-quality medical devices, operates machines and assembly processes, and performs minor setups.

Responsibilities

• Support research and development builds using multiple machines or assembly processes, including laser, reflow, and adhesive bonding.
• Oversee ongoing operations of the research and development laboratory.
• Assist with new process development and transfer activities, including coordination of lift and shift processes.
• Train other operators and technicians, including training the trainer.
• Complete administrative functions related to orders, capital expenditures, and purchase orders.
• Work with the area team lead, engineers, technicians, or area expert to develop and implement practical ideas.
• Solicit ideas from production staff to improve quality and productivity.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area for pilot manufacturing functions.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Technical degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field, or active engineering student with no more than 25% of the degree completed.
• Intermediate or advanced written and spoken English is required.
• Knowledge of good documentation practices.
• Electromechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills for manufacturing equipment.
• Low to medium knowledge of process validation and building medical catheters and setting up equipment.
• Experience in a regulated industry (GMP, ISO, FDA) is a plus.
• Six sigma yellow or green belt is desirable.
• Experience in process development, materials handling, or technical manufacturing is desirable.
• Understanding drawings, prints, and product specifications is a plus.
• Knowledge of CAQ and SAP is preferred.
