Driver Recruiter
Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Driver Recruiter to join our team. This role is responsible for sourcing, screening, and coordinating qualified candidates for driver, warehouse, and transportation-related positions while maintaining a strong and consistent talent pipeline. The ideal candidate will have experience recruiting drivers and logistics personnel, excel at candidate sourcing and relationship building, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & SourcingSource qualified candidates for driver and warehouse positions using job boards, social media, referrals, networking, and other recruiting channels.Conduct proactive headhunting efforts to identify and engage passive candidates when necessary.Develop and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified candidates for both current and future hiring needs.Post, manage, and optimize job advertisements across multiple recruiting platforms.
Candidate Screening & SelectionReview resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.Conduct initial phone screenings to assess experience, qualifications, availability, and cultural fit.Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.Support hiring managers throughout the selection process and provide recruiting recommendations.
Candidate Experience & CommunicationMaintain ongoing communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.Provide timely updates, feedback, and next steps to ensure a positive candidate experience.Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective candidates and talent communities.Recruiting OperationsMaintain accurate candidate records and recruiting activity within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or CRM.Track recruiting metrics and ensure compliance with internal hiring processes.Partner closely with hiring managers to understand staffing priorities and workforce needs.Participate in hiring events, job fairs, and other recruiting initiatives as needed.
QualificationsMinimum 1 year of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or staffing.Previous experience recruiting truck drivers is strongly preferred.Familiarity with positions such as:CDL and Non-CDL DriversWarehouse AssociatesDock WorkersForklift OperatorsDispatchersExperience using recruiting platforms such as Indeed, LinkedIn, ATS systems, CRM platforms, and other sourcing tools.Strong candidate sourcing, screening, and interviewing skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple open requisitions simultaneously.Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-volume recruiting environment.
Preferred QualificationsExperience recruiting within the transportation, logistics, warehousing, or trucking industries.Proven success sourcing hard-to-fill driver positions.Knowledge of recruiting best practices and talent market trends for transportation and logistics roles.
