The interpreter will provide real-time Spanish to English and English to Spanish medical interpretation via phone or video, supporting healthcare professionals and patients during consultations, follow-up visits, and administrative interactions. Daily responsibilities include accurately conveying medical information, clarifying terminology when needed, and maintaining patient confidentiality and professional boundaries. The role also involves documenting interpretation sessions when required, adhering to medical and privacy standards, and collaborating with the LanguagesCX team to ensure consistent service quality. The interpreter will participate in periodic training, follow internal guidelines, and maintain reliable availability during scheduled shifts.Qualifications Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to ensure clear, respectful, and empathetic interactions with patients and medical staff.Proficiency in Translation and Medical Interpretation between Spanish and English, with the ability to accurately convey medical terminology and concepts.Experience in English Teaching or language training, demonstrating advanced command of English grammar, usage, and comprehension.Training experience or willingness to participate in ongoing professional development related to medical terminology, ethics, and interpretation best practices.Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English, with excellent listening and speaking skills in both languages.Familiarity with medical settings, HIPAA or similar privacy regulations, and sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds.Reliable high-speed internet connection, suitable remote work environment, and comfort using phone and video interpretation platforms.Relevant certification in medical or community interpreting, or equivalent practical experience, is highly beneficial.
