RF Planning Engineer

About the role

GUANETSF is an expertise center of the NJJ Telecom Group, founded in March 2024. It works in close collaboration with its parent company in France, providing telecom engineering services to eight mobile network operators across Latin America. The team of 20 telecom engineers works in an international, dynamic, and fast-evolving environment. GUANETSF is hiring an RF engineer to reinforce its existing team.

Responsibilities

• Design and dimension cellular mobile access networks across 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G.
• Prepare general and detailed design studies (HLD and LLD) for RAN solutions and equipment.
• Carry out detailed and operational engineering for new radio sites or the addition of LTE/5G frequency bands.
• Conduct radio coverage studies for 3G, 4G, and 5G, and validate new radio site locations while considering environmental constraints and marketing objectives.
• Manage frequency plans, Scrambling Codes, and PCI/RSI.

Requirements

• Telecom Engineer with at least 2 years’ experience in RF planning.
• Very good team spirit, continuous improvement and learning, and the ability to adapt in real time to priorities and emergencies.
• B2 English is mandatory, written and spoken.
• Knowledge of mobile network technologies: 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G.
• Knowledge of RAN solutions and OSS, including Ericsson, Huawei, and ZTE.
• Radio planning tool skills with Atoll, Planet, and/or Asset/Aircom for radio simulations and frequency/SC/PCI/RSI planning.
• Process automation, scripting with Python or SQL, and reporting tools such as Power BI are a plus.
• Technical documentation, activity reports, KPIs, and trackers.
