Position PurposeThe Record to Report (R2R) Accountant is responsible for managing key activities across the end-to-end accounting cycle, ensuring accurate and timely execution of general ledger activities, reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, and month-end/year-end closing processes.This role requires strong accounting knowledge, the ability to understand and analyze accounting entries, and experience supporting financial operations within a Shared Services Center environment. The position ensures compliance with company accounting policies, internal controls, service level agreements, and US GAAP standards.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute end-to-end R2R accounting activities, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.Prepare, review, and post manual journal entries ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.Prepare and analyze Profit & Loss (P&L) accounts, including variance analysis and trend reviews.Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all accounts are properly supported and accurately reflected in the General Ledger.Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions when required.Prepare financial reports, accounting schedules, and supporting documentation for internal reporting purposes.Maintain and update general ledger accounts and accounting records.Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, procedures, and SOX requirements (when applicable).Identify process improvement opportunities, repetitive issues, and operational risks to increase efficiency and accuracy.Collaborate with internal stakeholders and escalate complex accounting issues to leadership when necessary.Support continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting operations team.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably within a Record to Report (R2R), General Ledger, or Financial Accounting function.Previous experience working in a Shared Services Center (SSC) environment is highly desirable.Strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to analyze and interpret journal entries.Experience supporting month-end and year-end closing processes.Knowledge of account reconciliations, general ledger activities, and financial reporting.Advanced English level (B2+/C1) with the ability to communicate effectively in a business environment.Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with deadlines.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting US-based accounting operations.Knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards.Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday Finance, or similar).Experience working in a multinational company environment.Benefits for Full-Time Employees (FTE)Private medical insurance.Dental insurance.Annual bonus plan based on company performance (percentage disclosed during the hiring process).Employee solidarity association.Employee assistance program covering psychology, finance, legal, and nutrition support.Learning and development programs.Quarterly personal days.Round-trip transportation to the office.
