Position: Safety Coordinator / Safety ManagerLocation: Brandywine, MD & Laurel, MDPay Range $80,000–$105,000 (Coordinator) | $115,000–$130,000 (Manager)Direct Placement
OverviewOur client is seeking a Safety Coordinator and Safety Manager to support fabrication/manufacturing shop operations in Brandywine, MD and Laurel, MD. This role will focus on planning, coordinating, and implementing safety, health, and environmental programs while ensuring compliance with corporate standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will promote a safe, incident-free work environment across shop and project operations.
Responsibilities• Conduct site inspections of fabrication, manufacturing, or construction environments to ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards• Document safety inspections, identify hazards, and recommend corrective actions• Ensure non-compliance issues are resolved within designated timelines• Maintain safety documentation including incident reports, inspection logs, and training records• Report safety concerns and support enforcement of safety policies and procedures• Coordinate and promote safety programs and initiatives across the site• Support continuous improvement of the safety management system
Requirements• 3+ years of experience as a safety professional in manufacturing, fabrication shop, construction, or warehouse environments• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health, Environmental Sciences, or related field (strongly preferred)• OSHA 10-hour and OSHA 30-hour certifications• CPR and First Aid certifications• Ability to pass background check and drug test
Nice to Have• CHST or other relevant safety certifications
