The Sales Support position is responsible for supporting revenue growth by identifying opportunities within existing and inactive customer accounts, strengthening customer relationships, and improving the quality and effectiveness of our CRM database.
This role will focus heavily on proactive customer outreach, account development, and collaboration with the sales team to increase business volume and maximize the potential of existing customer relationships.The successful candidate will be proactive, sales-oriented, and comfortable initiating customer conversations. They will enjoy developing existing relationships, uncovering opportunities, and following through consistently to turn inactive or underperforming accounts into growingcustomer relationships.

Key responsabilitiesIdentify inactive and dormant customers and proactively contact them by phone and email with the goal of reactivating the account and generating new business.Identify underperforming customer accounts and develop strategies with the sales team to increase account activity, service utilization, and revenue.Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular outbound communication and follow-up.Identify opportunities to expand business within current accounts by understanding customer needs and introducing additional services or solutions.Support account growth initiatives by identifying customer trends, opportunities, and potential areas for increased volume.Conduct consistent outbound sales activity through phone, email, and, when appropriate, face-to-face customer interaction.Follow up on sales opportunities, customer inquiries, proposals, and outstanding opportunities to help move business forward.Partner with the sales team to develop account-specific strategies for customer retention, reactivation, and growth.Assist in identifying and developing relationships with key contacts and decision-makers within customer organizations.Monitor customer activity and recognize changes in purchasing or service patterns that may represent an opportunity or risk.Maintain accurate records of customer conversations, opportunities, follow-up activities, and account information within the CRM system.Actively cleanse and maintain the CRM database, currently ACT!, to ensure customer information is accurate, current, and properly categorized.Connect hospital groups, healthcare organizations, customer groups, and internal groups to the appropriate marketing and sales profiles within the CRM.Ensure contacts, organizations, account relationships, and sales activities are accurately documented.Support targeted sales and marketing campaigns by maintaining accurate customer segmentation and contact information.Collaborate with sales, marketing, and internal teams to identify new opportunities within existing customer groups.Provide regular updates regarding account activity, customer feedback, opportunities, and potential barriers to growth.Assist with customer retention efforts by addressing concerns, coordinating internal resources, and maintaining consistent communication.Maintain a strong understanding of company services and effectively communicate their value to customers.
RequirementsPrevious sales, inside sales, account management, business development, or customer-facing experience.Demonstrated experience communicating directly with customers by phone, email, and/or face-to-face interaction.Strong preference for candidates with experience selling services or solutions rather than physical products.Proven ability to develop existing accounts and identify opportunities for increased revenue or customer engagement.Comfortable making proactive outbound calls and initiating conversations with inactive or underperforming customers.Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.Ability to identify customer needs and translate those needs into sales opportunities.Experience using CRM systems to manage customer information, sales activity, opportunities, and follow-up.Experience with ACT! CRM is preferred but not required.Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail, particularly when maintaining customer and CRM data.Ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and follow-up activities simultaneously.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Self-motivated, persistent, and comfortable working toward sales and account- growth objectives.Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with sales, marketing, and other internal teams.Strong follow-through and the ability to maintain consistent contact with customers throughout the sales process.Comfortable reviewing customer data and account activity to identify trends and opportunities.Professional and confident communication style with customers at various levels of an organization.
Preferred Background Experience in healthcare, hospital services, professional services, staffing, consulting, or another service-based sales environment.Experience supporting account-growth, customer-retention, or account- reactivation programs.Experience working with hospital groups, healthcare organizations, or complex customer account structures is a plus.
