Role Summary
The SAP CPI Consultant is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems using SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) as part of the SAP Integration Suite. The role ensures secure, scalable, and reliable data exchange across cloud and on-premises landscapes.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy integration flows (iFlows) using SAP CPIIntegrate SAP solutions such as S/4HANA, ECC, AWS, Snowflake, Concur, and third-party applicationsDevelop integrations using SOAP, REST, OData, IDoc, RFC, SFTP, JMS, and file-based adaptersImplement message mappings, content modifiers, value mappings, and exception handlingManage security artifacts including certificates, keystores, OAuth, PGP, and user rolesPerform monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning of integration flowsApply SAP integration best practices and enterprise integration patternsWork with functional and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into integration designsCreate and maintain technical documentation (integration specs, mappings, interface catalogs)Support deployments across DEV / QA / PROD landscapes
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience with SAP CPI / SAP Integration SuiteProficiency in Groovy scripting for CPI extensionsPatterns like Sync/Async, Pub/Sub, Batch vs Real Time, Splitter, MulticastExperience with XML, JSON, XSD, and message transformationsSolid understanding of SAP middleware concepts and integration architectureExpertise in SAP API ManagementKnowledge of API-led integration and event-driven patternsExperience connecting cloud-to-cloud, cloud-to-on-prem, and hybrid landscapesCloud Connector
SAP & Integration Knowledge
Understanding of SAP business objects (e.g., IDocs, BAPIs)Exposure to SAP Process Orchestration (PI/PO) migration strongly preferredBilingual - English (MANDATORY)
Experience
5–10 years of SAP integration experience3+ years hands-on SAP CPI / Integration Suite developmentExperience in S/4HANA transformation or cloud migration projects preferred
Preferred
SAP CPI or Integration Suite certificationExperience with BTP services (API Management, Open Connectors, Event Mesh)Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and transport management in SAP BTP
