💡 Love breaking complex systems before users do?We're looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join an early-stage team building an AI-powered platform that helps organizations understand the performance, cost, and business impact of AI-driven workflows and intelligent systems.
This is not a traditional QA role focused primarily on UI testing.
We're looking for someone who enjoys validating complex data flows, integrations, calculations, APIs, and AI-related workflows, and who is comfortable working closely with engineers to ensure that business-critical data is accurate and trustworthy.If your favorite bugs are the ones hidden deep inside data pipelines, reporting logic, integrations, or backend services, this role might be a great fit.

🎯 What You'll Do• Build and maintain automated test coverage across APIs, integrations, backend services, and data-processing workflows• Validate the accuracy of calculations, metrics, dashboards, and reporting outputs• Design testing strategies for complex workflows involving data transformations and AI-related functionality• Create test scenarios for edge cases, malformed inputs, and unexpected system behaviors• Identify, reproduce, and document defects with clear technical details• Build automated validation checks that detect regressions and silent data issues• Define and maintain release quality gates• Collaborate closely with backend engineers, frontend engineers, and product stakeholders• Support CI/CD quality practices and automated testing initiatives• Help establish quality standards and testing processes in a fast-moving startup environment
✅ What We're Looking For• 5+ years of experience in QA Automation, Software Quality Engineering, or similar roles• At least 1 year of hands-on experience using AI coding tools, specifically Claude Code4+ years of Python experiencePostgreSQL, Python, React, and Rust• Experience testing AI-powered products, LLM-based applications, AI agents, or intelligent workflows• Experience with observability, telemetry, monitoring, or event-driven architectures• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar tools• Experience validating billing, metering, reporting, financial, or business-critical calculations• Strong experience with API testing and test automation• Experience testing backend systems, integrations, microservices, or data-intensive applications• Solid SQL skills and experience validating data across systems• Experience analyzing logs, debugging issues, and investigating complex defects• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated release processes• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail• Ability to work independently and drive quality initiatives with minimal supervision• Professional-level English communication skills• Startup or early-stage company experience
