Senior Account Sales Engineer

Responsibilities

• Forecast and close vision solutions opportunities with End Users, Partners and OEMs to reach quota goals.
• Use the Cognex sales process to demonstrate products and pursue large strategic opportunities.
• Follow up on sales leads, schedule customer visits and seek large opportunities.
• Conduct customer visits in a solution sales environment.
• Collaborate with counterparts from other territories on integrated or cross-territory opportunities, or when decision makers are outside the Account Manager’s territory.
• Follow up on customer inquiries, understand system requirements and differentiate the Cognex solution.
• Assist at trade shows and other marketing events.
• Coordinate evaluations with the Applications Engineering team and maintain project information in Sales Book.

Requirements

• Proven sales performance in the automation or a similar industry.
• Proven experience operating in a solutions sales environment and using a defined sales process to deliver consistent results.
• PC literacy and working knowledge of MS Windows applications.
• Ability to travel 40%.
