Senior Accountant

Position SummaryThe Senior Accountant performs complex accounting activities that support financial reporting, compliance, and operational excellence. This role contributes to month-end close processes, financial analysis, audit support, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring adherence to accounting principles and company policies.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.Investigate and explain balance sheet and income statement variances.Support internal and external audits through preparation of schedules, documentation, and responses to inquiries.Execute internal control procedures and ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations.Support statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.Prepare financial analyses, forecasts, and ad hoc reports to support business decision-making.Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiencies, and support automation initiatives.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and support organizational objectives.
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Professional accounting certification (CPA preferred).Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience.Strong experience with financial close processes, reconciliations, and financial analysis.Knowledge of internal controls, audit processes, and accounting standards.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Preferred QualificationsExperience in a multinational, shared services, or highly regulated environment.Experience supporting statutory or regulatory reporting requirements.Experience working with ERP systems.
