About the role
As a Senior Accountant at The Clorox Company, you will partner with business units and cross-functional teams to provide accounting oversight and support across assigned operational accounting areas. These areas may include revenue, royalties, cash discount accruals, other accruals, other receivables, inventory, treasury, corporate accounting, and business unit support.
The role supports monthly and quarterly close processes in accordance with U.S. GAAP and provides technical accounting expertise on matters affecting financial reporting and strategic business decisions. It also supports external reporting requirements, audit activities, and special projects as required.
Responsibilities
- Lead monthly and quarterly accounting close processes for assigned areas.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, estimates, reserves, balance sheet reconciliations, reporting, and analytics.
- Support internal controls and external reporting requirements.
- Partner with Finance teams and business teams using strong influencing skills.
- Identify and execute process improvements that improve efficiency and effectiveness, including through data, technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools.
- Support internal and external audit activities and special projects as required.
