Senior Business Intelligence Developer

Role: Senior Power BI DeveloperLocation: Mexico (Remote) Note: Candidates with Microsoft Fabric experience will be preferred.
Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Power BI Technical Lead to design, develop, and optimize BI solutions in a Google BigQuery environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Power BI development, Administration & Governance, hands-on experience with BigQuery integration, and proven capability in migrating Tableau dashboards to Power BI. This role involves leading technical delivery, mentoring teams, and ensuring best practices for performance and governance.
Key Responsibilities:-
Solution Design & DevelopmentLead the design and development of Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models.Implement best practices for data modeling, DAX calculations, and Power Query transformations.Ensure scalability and performance optimization for large datasets.
Google BigQuery IntegrationConnect and optimize Power BI with Google BigQuery for enterprise analytics.Implement efficient query strategies and cost optimization in BigQuery.Tableau-to-Power BI MigrationDrive migration projects from Tableau to Power BI, ensuring feature parity and improved performance.Collaborate with stakeholders to validate migrated dashboards and reports.
Administration & GovernanceManage Power BI Service administration, including workspace governance, security (RLS), and capacity planning.Monitor usage and implement compliance frameworks.
Team LeadershipMentor and guide BI developers on technical best practices.Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical ExpertiseStrong proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Gateway.Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling principles.Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery and SQL optimization.
Migration ExperienceProven experience in Tableau-to-Power BI migration projects.
AdministrationExperience in Power BI administration, including governance, security, and capacity management.
Soft SkillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to lead technical teams and ensure delivery quality.Fabric knowledge required with Power BI
Preferred SkillsFamiliarity with Power BI Embedded and DevOps for BI (CI/CD pipelines).Knowledge of Azure Data Platform and hybrid cloud environments
