About the Opportunity
OttoMate is supporting a growing global SaaS project in hiring a Senior Cloud Ops Infrastructure Network Engineer in Guadalajara.
The selected professional will join a cloud operations environment supporting complex, highly available, multi-tenant platforms. This position focuses on cloud networking, network security, virtual network appliances, firewalls, VPN connectivity, incident response, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production reliability.
The employee will be hired through Deel under a full-time Mexican payroll employment model, including statutory benefits.
Work ModelHybrid schedule: 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.Expected onsite days: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, subject to final team confirmation.Expected remote days: Monday and Friday, subject to final team confirmation.Office location: Avenida De Las Americas 1254, 16th Floor, Country Club, Guadalajara, Jalisco 44610.Some scheduled after-hours maintenance or rotating on-call support may be required.Specific scheduling and on-call details will be confirmed during the interview process.
Role SummaryThe Senior Cloud Ops Infrastructure Network Engineer will manage and support networking and firewall infrastructure across multi-cloud SaaS environments.
The role involves investigating complex network incidents, maintaining secure cloud connectivity, monitoring infrastructure health, implementing network improvements, supporting production environments, and collaborating with Cloud Operations, Development, Customer Support, and Security teams.
Required Qualifications5+ years of experience as a cloud networking, infrastructure networking, network security, or firewall engineer.Hands-on experience managing virtual network appliances.Strong practical experience with AWS or Azure networking.Experience with VPC, VNET, subnetting, routing, DNS, load balancing, and security groups.Experience with site-to-site VPNs and secure network connectivity.Strong understanding of firewalls, WAF technologies, network security, and access-control principles.Experience investigating and resolving complex production network incidents.Experience performing root-cause analysis and documenting technical findings.Strong troubleshooting skills across cloud, network, application, and security layers.Ability to communicate technical incidents clearly to engineering teams and internal stakeholders.Advanced English proficiency, minimum C1, for technical meetings and communication with international teams.
