Senior Commercial Contracts Specialist Legal Operations

Executive Summary
Workday is seeking an experienced Commercial Contracts Specialist to join its Global Legal Services organization. This role is responsible for managing the complete contract lifecycle for commercial agreements, partnering closely with Legal, Sales, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams to review, draft, negotiate, and administer customer and vendor contracts in a fast-paced global environment.The ideal candidate combines strong commercial contract experience with exceptional organizational skills, the ability to negotiate contractual language, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and ensure compliance with internal policies while providing outstanding support to internal stakeholders.
Core Responsibilities
Manage the complete contract lifecycle, from intake through execution and final distribution.Draft, review, negotiate and administer commercial agreements, amendments, NDAs, SOWs and other contractual documentation.Analyze contracts to ensure compliance with internal legal policies, corporate standards and regulatory requirements.Review and negotiate contract redlines with internal and external stakeholders.Partner closely with Legal, Sales, Services and other business teams to structure contractual solutions.Coordinate approvals, signatures and execution through contract management systems and e-signature platforms.Maintain accurate contract records and documentation throughout the lifecycle.Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related questions, policy guidance and standard contractual language.Support continuous improvement initiatives for contract management processes and legal operations.Prioritize and manage a high volume of contracts while consistently meeting deadlines and maintaining exceptional quality standards.
Must Have Experience
3+ years managing commercial contracts within a corporate legal department, multinational company or law firm.Proven experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements.Strong experience managing the full contract lifecycle.Comfortable working with contract redlines and contract revisions.Experience collaborating with Legal, Sales and cross-functional business partners.Excellent organizational and project management skills.Experience handling multiple contracts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Advanced English communication skills.
