Senior Data Engineer

Tricura Insurance Group is a technology-enabled insurance and risk management company focused on healthcare organizations. The company combines industry expertise with technology to provide insurance solutions across the continuum of care.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will own the integration layer between Tricura's platform and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. The software transforms clinical data from long-term care and senior living providers into real-time alerts, compliance checks, and analytics.

The role focuses on making the platform EHR-agnostic through a common abstraction layer, canonical data model, and integration architecture. EHR systems may expose data through REST APIs, webhooks, SOAP services, flat-file exports, or database replication. The work includes completing existing integration work, defining architecture for scalable onboarding of new healthcare systems, and preparing the platform for standards-based interoperability through HL7 and FHIR.

Responsibilities

• Design the canonical clinical data model and translation layer.
• Build an integration architecture that standardizes clinical entities from different EHR systems.
• Own the integration platform end-to-end, including existing integration work and the long-term architecture for onboarding healthcare systems.
• Prepare the platform for standards-based interoperability through HL7 and FHIR.
