Senior Dotnet Developer

The Senior .NET Developer is a full-time position with a fast-growing technology firm. The right candidate will be passionate about technology, enjoy learning new skills, and thrive in collaborating with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Designers, and Developers. Position includes a combination of hands-on development responsibilities and participation in system architecture and business analysis.Extensive knowledge of the software development process and corresponding technologies in an Agile environment is critical for the success of the Sr. .NET Developer.A successful candidate for this position will be able to articulate the current state of this art with respect to the fast-moving developments in AI-driven, agentic coding, how the skills prescribed herein are relevant to and prerequisites for fully leveraging those emerging capabilities, and finally how that relevance and application is fundamentally changing.
Key Responsibilities· Engineer and develop solutions involving custom software, open-source components and cloud architecture· Create database designs and data models· Validate API, content, and architecture decisions· Create technical tasks from user stories written by business analysts.· Assist other developers in troubleshooting problems within software systems / databases and resolve issues· Use automated regression testing, static analysis, and unit testing· Participate in team meetings and provide progress using project management tools
Key Skills · Exhibit a good understanding of Web Services and API-based software architecture· Exhibit an excellent understanding of design patterns and architectural styles· Possess a broad understanding of software development patterns and languages· Understand AI-driven, agentic software engineering patterns and practices· Possess strong problem-solving skills, including attention to detail· Exhibit strong communication skills (can speak and write clearly for technical and non-technical audiences)
Job Requirements· 10+ years of development experience in a custom software development environment· Experience leading teams or mentoring less experienced developers· Proficient with our core technologies (.NET Core, MS SQL, React, Angular)· Proficiency with traditional DevOps tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Git, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code as well as AI-driven, agentic tools such as Claude Code.· Ability to work on and manage multiple projects at the same time Nice to have· Experience with developing and supporting software systems that process large volumes of transactions· Experience with CI/CD and release management· Knowledge of banking / financial operations for ACH or payment processing· Implementation and development experience with B-2-B eCommerce, including integrations and customizations· Experience with mobile app development · Experience with VB.Net· Experience with utilizing cloud platforms and architecture for software development (Azure, AWS)· Experience managing near-shore / off-shore development teams
