Senior HSE Manager – Luxury Development

Role: Senior HSE Manager - Ultra-Luxury Resort & Private CommunityLocation: Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, MexicoSalary: MXN $80,000 - MXN $90,000 base salary per month + bonus + incentives + benefits
A leading international real estate and resort ownership group is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Manager for a major luxury residential and hospitality development in Cabo, Mexico.
This is a senior, site-focused position responsible for Health, Safety & Environmental performance across five active construction sites, with further projects in the development pipeline.
The current programme includes luxury condominium buildings, private residences and a significant beach club expansion incorporating a new pool, spa, theatre, wellness facilities, restaurants and other amenities.
You will have the authority and backing to stop works where safety standards are not being met and will be expected to take a proactive approach to identifying risks before they result in incidents.
Key responsibilities:HSE and environmental oversight across multiple concurrent construction sitesRegular inspections, audits and identification of unsafe conditionsEnsuring contractors and subcontractors comply with required HSE standardsChallenging General Contractors where standards fall short and stopping works where necessaryDeveloping preventative measures through effective planning and risk assessmentDriving a strong safety culture throughout the developmentEnsuring compliance with applicable Mexican HSE regulations and requirements
Qualifications & Experience:Minimum 8–10 years' construction HSE experienceStrong practical experience working directly on active construction sitesDeveloper or main contractor backgrounds will both be consideredExperience on complex vertical construction is particularly attractive, including high-rise residential, commercial, hospitality or healthcare projectsStrong working knowledge of Mexican construction safety and environmental requirementsRelevant Mexican HSE/safety qualifications or certificationsA confident, authoritative personality with the ability to challenge contractors and enforce standards
