About the RoleBridgestream Group is seeking an experienced Senior Internal Auditor to provide independent and objective assurance over the effectiveness of the Group’s governance, risk management, and internal control environment.
The successful candidate will independently manage the full internal audit cycle, including enterprise-wide risk assessment, development of the risk-based Internal Audit Plan, audit execution, control testing, analysis, reporting, action plan tracking, and follow-up.
Working closely with Senior Management and the Board of Directors, the role will provide objective observations and recommendations to identify control weaknesses, emerging risks, process inefficiencies, and opportunities to strengthen the Group’s overall control environment.
As an independent assurance function, Internal Audit does not own or operate business processes, controls, or risk management activities and must maintain appropriate independence and objectivity at all times.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain a risk-based Internal Audit Plan aligned with the Group’s key risks, strategic objectives, regulatory environment, and business activities.Independently plan, execute, document, and close internal audits across the Group.Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls and identify control deficiencies and areas of risk.Assess governance, risk management, operational, financial, compliance, and technology-related processes within the approved audit scope.Identify root causes and assess the potential impact of audit findings.Prepare clear, accurate, objective, and actionable audit reports for Management and the Board of Directors.Present audit findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.Conduct timely follow-up reviews to assess the implementation and effectiveness of agreed corrective actions.Provide independent assurance and advisory insight without assuming management responsibility.Maintain appropriate audit documentation and working papers to support audit conclusions and ensure a complete audit trail.Monitor emerging risks, regulatory developments, and changes in relevant auditing standards and practices.Maintain professional independence, confidentiality, integrity, and objectivity.Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Group’s internal audit methodology and control environment.Maintain ongoing professional and technical development.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Audit, Risk Management, or a related field.Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Internal Audit, External Audit, Risk Consulting, or a similar assurance function.Demonstrated experience independently managing the full internal audit cycle.Experience in financial services, fiduciary, corporate services, trust, fund administration, or another regulated environment is strongly preferred.Experience working with senior management and presenting audit findings or recommendations to senior stakeholders is highly desirable.Professional certification such as CIA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent would be advantageous.ACAMS, ICA, or another relevant AML/compliance qualification would also be advantageous.Technical KnowledgeThe successful candidate should have:Strong knowledge of internal auditing principles, standards, methodologies, and practices.Strong understanding of risk-based internal auditing and control frameworks.Good knowledge of corporate governance, risk management, and internal control principles.Understanding of financial, operational, compliance, technology, and regulatory risks.Knowledge of corporate and trust structures, particularly within offshore or regulated environments.Understanding of audit sampling, control testing, evidence evaluation, root-cause analysis, and audit documentation.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and relevant audit or data-analysis tools.Skills & CompetenciesStrong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.Ability to independently manage multiple audits and competing priorities.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong report-writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex matters clearly and concisely.Ability to evaluate complex processes and identify control weaknesses and emerging risks.Ability to obtain, analyze, and objectively challenge information.Confidence presenting audit findings and recommendations to Senior Management and the Board.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships while maintaining professional independence.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Ability to work independently with limited day-to-day supervision.Sound professional judgment and the ability to determine when matters require escalation.Personal AttributesWe are looking for someone who demonstrates:High integrity and ethical standards.Independence and objectivity.Professional skepticism and an inquisitive mindset.Proactivity and self-motivation.Strong attention to detail.Accountability and discipline.Discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality.Adaptability and the ability to work across different business areas.Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.A willingness to mentor and support others.Ownership of responsibilities and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.Why Join Bridgestream Group?This is an opportunity to join a growing international organization and play an important role in strengthening governance, risk management, internal controls, and operational effectiveness across the Group.
