Responsibilities:Supervise and perform all hardware/software upgrading activitiesBackup maintenance on all computersUnderstanding of and ability to install, configure, and test all workstation hardware/softwarePerform technical support for the North American ClientContact the internet provider and quickly deal with any internet issues/outagesResolve all monitoring station network-related issues quickly and efficientlyResolve all customer network-related issues quickly and efficientlyDocument in detail all work performedCreate innovative solutions that boost productivity and efficiencyKeep track of employee technical knowledge and perform training as necessaryCreate and upkeep technical manualsMaintain CCTV and access control infrastructure internally and externallyDaily communication with customers verbally and via emailSchedule and attend all technical support meetings and sessions with staff and customersUpdate service records every single time a service or interaction is performed on any hardware or software inside the station, or customers' sites, or customers' customer sitesTake ownership of tasks and ensure complete resolutionAbility to pay close attention to detail while performing technical tasksAbility to quickly learn new technologies through the use of self-study materialsAbility to provide accurate estimates of how long tasks will take
Minimum Experience Requirements:Experience in network administrationExperience in working with Cisco Meraki, Ubiquity and MikrotikUnderstanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP modelWindows System MaintenanceUnderstanding existing and emerging technologiesAbility to focus on results and execute the plan as discussed and decidedBeing adaptable to new technologies and business strategiesAbility to remain calm during stressful situations
Nice to have knowledge:IPv4 subnetting and supernetting5 GHz wireless best practicesWindows Active Directory User ManagementNetwork Monitoring Software (Cacti, Dude and Nagios)
