About the role
As a Senior Production Support Data Engineer at Publicis Sapient, you will support and maintain critical data platforms and production environments. This is a long-term L2/L3 support role focused on investigating, resolving, and preventing data-related incidents in cloud-based environments. You will work with engineering, infrastructure, and business teams to support the reliability, stability, and performance of data systems running on AWS.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain critical data platforms and production environments.
- Investigate, resolve, and prevent data-related incidents in cloud-based environments.
- Work with engineering, infrastructure, and business teams to support data system reliability, stability, and performance.
- Perform root cause analysis and drive issue resolution independently.
- Identify recurring issues and implement improvements to system reliability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering and Production Support roles.
- Hands-on experience writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
- Experience supporting and operating AWS-based data platforms and services.
- Strong knowledge of Amazon Aurora, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Experience investigating and resolving production issues within data ecosystems.
- Hands-on experience with Python for scripting, automation, and operational support activities.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills.
- Experience with Amazon DocumentDB environments, exposure to AWS monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, or experience with incident management, problem management, and ITIL-based support processes can set you apart.
- Knowledge of data pipelines, ETL workflows, and batch processing systems, and experience building operational automation solutions to reduce manual support effort can set you apart.
