Job SummaryCoordinate all activities and functions related to the maintenance and management of critical systems. The position is responsible for establishing and managing cost reduction projects, as well as the coordination, programming, assignment, execution, and control of the maintenance program.
Job ResponsibilitiesSupport the plant's EH&S management system through compliance with regulations and improvement actions resulting from audits, RIFI, Management Reviews, and others.Meet the goals defined for each Quality metric related to the operations under your responsibility each year.Coordinate, program, assign, execute, and control the Preventive Maintenance program, ensuring the necessary time for its fulfillment.Plan and execute validations and other change controls.Ensure compliance with all GMP rules and procedures applicable to the personnel under their charge.Prepare and administer the budget of the functions managed and propose improvements each year.Lead cost reduction programs by identifying solutions and managing improvement projects with an impact on results.Develop the staff under his/her charge by identifying strengths and opportunities for improvement.Ensure employees understand expected safety performance levels and conduct risk assessments as necessary.Understand and comply with all legal and corporate health, safety, and environmental requirements applicable to the work area and assigned tasks.Establish department goals and objectives aligned with the facility's corporate strategies.Determine Maintenance and Facilities department staffing needs to achieve maintenance and production plans while meeting overtime and cost goals.Work with other departments to understand short-, medium-, and long-term planning objectives and develop strategies to achieve them.Ensure compliance with maintenance, diagnostic, and calibration methods for electronic, pneumatic, and electrical control equipment.Provide technical advice on the purchase or contracting of machinery and equipment.Interpret plans, designs, and sketches to carry out assigned work.Prepare orders for materials, equipment, tools, spare parts, and other work implements required for the proper execution of assigned process tasks.Answer questions raised by superiors, supervisees, and colleagues related to the activity under your responsibility.Ensure staff discipline and maintain attendance controls, including authorizing exit permits and shift changes.Administer third-party contractor agreements supporting Maintenance, Facilities, and Projects, including budget processing and control.
The duties described include most of the key responsibilities related to the position but are not limiting and may be modified at any time. Additionally, you must follow instructions and requests related to your duties from your immediate supervisor.
Education and ExperienceEducationProfessional Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or related Engineering.Master's or Postgraduate Degree preferred.Bilingual, English/Spanish.
ExperienceMinimum of 5 years of experience in Maintenance and Facilities roles.

Specialized KnowledgeRegulatory System Audits and Control: FDA, ISO 13485, OSHA.Proven mastery of Lean Six Sigma tools and culture, Engineering, and Process Control.Change control processes, project evaluation, and leadership.Knowledge of mechanics, electricity, and industrial maintenance.Extensive knowledge of electronics.Electrical controls.AutoCAD.Pneumatics and hydraulics.
