Senior OPEX/Lean Engineer

About the role

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is seeking a Senior OPEX/Lean Engineer to develop and lead the CI Team in executing and supporting plant CI initiatives and deploying ECIS (Eaton Continuous Improvement System).

The role designs and implements processes to achieve required quality, customer service and manufacturing levels, and supports efficiency and productivity through the Eaton Business System. It also leads the Lean Transformation roadmap according to business needs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate plant-wide Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) strategies and develop implementation plans with SMART goals linked to business strategy and profit plans.
• Develop and implement training plans for all organizational levels to help build and sustain a continuous improvement culture.
• Coordinate and monitor ECIS / ELSS projects and implementation plans, drive accountability, and integrate a lean management system.
• Provide subject matter expertise on Lean management and tools.
• Develop, optimize and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality and safety.
• Support project controls capabilities, including cost and schedule baselines, tracking, forecasting and change management tools.
• Conduct process capability studies and statistical analysis, and use data-driven decision-making to achieve operational excellence and production targets.
• Research new and improved manufacturing processes using lean tools.
• Work with OPEX Manager resources to drive continuous improvement programs using EBS resources, including PROLaunch, OpA and BPI.
