AboutOur client is a well-established residential real estate company managing a portfolio of multifamily residential properties across New York City and is in search of a new Senior Property Manager to join the team.

What You Will OwnServe as the primary operational leader for a portfolio of residential properties, providing direction and oversight to all on-site staff and vendor relationshipsManage building performance against annual budgets, ensuring all financial objectives are met while protecting the owner's long-term interestConduct weekly property inspections to ensure cleanliness, code compliance, and adherence to city, state, and local regulatory requirements including violation tracking and removalOversee the full rent cycle including monthly billing review, collections monitoring, lease renewals, and invoice processingPartner with Landlord and Tenant attorneys on all active cases, ensuring proper documentation and timely resolutionProcure competitive bids, scope large-scale repair projects, and manage preventative maintenance schedules to protect asset valueServe as the primary point of contact for on-site emergencies, responding with urgency and sound judgmentEnforce property rules and regulations while maintaining a tenant-first approach to building operationsEnsure all administrative functions are completed accurately and on time, with a proactive rather than reactive operating style
What We Are Looking For8+ years of residential property management experience in New York CityHands-on experience with AppFolio or a comparable property management platformDeep familiarity with NYC housing regulations, local laws, and compliance requirementStrong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and communicate performance to ownershipExceptional organizational skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities across a dynamic portfolioA professional, polished communicator in person, over the phone, and in writingSomeone who takes ownership, holds themselves accountable, and leads by example
