Senior Software Engineer

Prolific is building human data infrastructure for AI development. The company is looking for Senior Software Engineers with a product builder mindset to help develop and guide its product.

This is a t-shaped engineering role, requiring broad practical knowledge across software development and likely deeper expertise in frontend or backend. The work offers an opportunity to influence the product’s direction as Prolific aims to revolutionize research.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively as a member of a cross-functional, stream-aligned team.
• Help develop and guide the product.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of modern web applications.
• Experience building TypeScript and JavaScript applications and using NoSQL databases.
• Experience using Python.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture.
• Experience using AWS Serverless and/or GCP.
• Understand the importance of driving code quality through test automation.
• Have supported applications in production, with demonstrable full-stack observability practices such as RUM and tracing.
• Experience working collaboratively with strong engineering practices and understanding of good engineering.
• Care about the product life cycle and focus on customer value.
• Value continuous, iterative improvement using data to drive decisions and a culture of feedback.
• Be passionate about software development and eager to learn and improve.
