About the role
Nasdaq is looking for a Calypso developer to build, customize, and support solutions for critical workflows across global capital markets organizations. The role involves solving complex technical challenges and delivering reliable, scalable solutions that create value for clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and support Calypso solutions for clients in the capital markets industry.
- Design and build integrations between Calypso and external systems using APIs and enterprise messaging technologies.
- Develop and maintain applications using Java and R to support business and operational requirements.
- Work with product, engineering, and client teams to implement enhancements and deliver successful projects.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, optimize system performance, and contribute to continuous product improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience developing and supporting enterprise software solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Calypso in capital markets environments.
- Strong programming experience with Java and R, including solution development, customization, and integration work.
- Communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across global teams.
Nice to have: Experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, Docker, and distributed architectures; knowledge of messaging technologies such as Kafka, JMS, MQ, or ActiveMQ; and experience with trading, risk management, treasury, or post-trade workflows.
The position is in Mexico and offers a hybrid work environment with at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change.
