Senior Storage Infrastructure Specialist – IBM DS8000 & SAN - Remote (Bogata

Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Storage Infrastructure Specialist to manage and support a mission-critical banking storage infrastructure comprising IBM DS8000 (DS8K), IBM iSeries (IBM i/AS400), Metro Mirror/Global Mirror, Cisco/Brocade SAN fabrics, and Cyber Vault with immutable storage capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister and support IBM DS8000 (DS8K) storage across Production, DR, and Cyber Vault environments.Manage storage provisioning, performance tuning, capacity planning, firmware upgrades, and incident resolution.Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Metro Mirror and Global Mirror replication between Primary and Secondary sites.Execute and support Disaster Recovery (DR) testing, failover, and failback activities.Administer Cisco MDS SAN infrastructure, including zoning, VSANs, ISLs, and multipathing.Administer Brocade SAN Switches, including zoning, MAPS policies, and ISLs.Support storage integration and performance requirements for IBM iSeries/Power Systems workloads.Manage immutable storage and cyber recovery controls within the Cyber Vault environment.Develop operational procedures and DR runbooks while maintaining compliance with banking and audit requirements.Participate in 24x7 production support, major incident management, and change implementation activities.Monitor and support integration of storage devices with IBM Storage Insights.Required SkillsIBM DS8000 (DS8K) Storage AdministrationIBM Metro Mirror & Global Mirror ReplicationIBM iSeries (IBM i / AS400) Storage SupportCisco MDS SAN Switch AdministrationBrocade SAN Switch AdministrationSAN Zoning, VSANs, Fibre Channel & MultipathingDisaster Recovery, Business Continuity & Storage ReplicationPerformance Monitoring, Capacity Planning & TroubleshootingCyber Vault, Storage Immutability & Ransomware Recovery ConceptsITIL-based Incident, Problem & Change ManagementPreferred QualificationsIBM DS8000 or IBM Storage CertificationsCisco Data Center / MDS CertificationsExperience in Banking or Financial Services environmentsExposure to IBM Copy Services Manager (CSM), PowerHA, and Storage InsightsScripting/Automation skills: Shell, Python, AnsibleIdeal CandidateHands-on storage professional with strong expertise in IBM DS8000, Metro Mirror/Global Mirror, Cisco MDS SAN, Brocade SAN switches, IBM iSeries, and Cyber Recovery solutions, with the ability to support highly available banking environments and lead storage-related DR and cyber-resilience operations.
