Site Reliability Engineer- - Streaming Platform

About the role

Net2Source (N2S) is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for its streaming platform. This role focuses on improving reliability, performance, efficiency, and scalability across the platforms where the service is streamed.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve system design to reduce failure modes and promote self-healing systems.
• Establish and maintain observability systems, including logging, monitoring, distributed tracing, alerting, and offline test tools.
• Work with development partners on the architecture, design, and implementation of new and existing systems.
• Collaborate with service engineers to establish Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for backend services.
• Identify indicators of application effectiveness and improve or repair performance.
• Assess options and suggest solutions when information is limited or unclear.
• Respond to incidents, resolve critical issues, and follow through with resolution or future mitigation plans.
• Act as an SME on the Engineering Operations team, partnering with backend services and application teams to address challenges across streaming platforms.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Solid engineering and coding skills, strong data structure knowledge, and the ability to write high-performance, production-quality code.
