Its success is driven by customized solutions, advanced tools and processes, and long-term partnerships with customers, suppliers, team members, and local communities.Role Description The SMT Process Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based at PARPRO’s facility in Tijuana, BCN. This role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining SMT (Surface Mount Technology) manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective production. Day-to-day tasks include creating and updating process documentation, programming and setting up SMT equipment, defining tooling and fixtures, and monitoring line performance to improve yield and throughput. The SMT Process Engineer collaborates with production, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to support new product introductions, troubleshoot process and equipment issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions. The role also involves analyzing process data, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and relevant industry certifications.Qualifications Experience with SMT manufacturing processes, including stencil design, solder paste application, pick-and-place programming, reflow profiling, and AOI/inspection.Knowledge of electronics manufacturing and assembly, including PCB design for manufacturability, component handling, and ESD-safe practices.Skills in process engineering and continuous improvement, such as root cause analysis, statistical process control, Lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, bills of materials, work instructions, and technical specifications.Proficiency with SMT and PCB assembly equipment software, basic CAD tools, and data analysis in spreadsheets or similar applications.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electronic, Mechanical, or related field) or equivalent practical experience in electronics manufacturing.Experience working within ISO, AS9100, or similar quality management systems and familiarity with documentation and audit requirements.Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on cross-functional teams in a fast-paced production environment.Ability to work on-site in T
