Software Engineer

About the role

Inbox Health is looking for a Software Engineer to help scale and enhance its AI offerings. The role focuses on creating new AI features and enhancing existing ones. Inbox Health is a venture-backed SAAS startup company in the US that uses Agile development methodology and modern development technologies to deliver code to thousands of users.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code.
• Design, code, and implement REST API resources and endpoints for integrated partners and client web applications.
• Work with product teams to identify efficient protocols and software design patterns, then convert specifications into actionable Agile tasks.
• Build REST API resources, workers, and automated tasks using Ruby on Rails.
• Handle complex data modeling, performance testing, and challenges related to handling thousands of requests per second.
• Write complex SQL queries for the Postgres object-relational database.
• Write unit tests in RSpec for product feature requests and advocate for testing best practices.
• Work with partners and clients to turn business problems and specifications into actionable development stories.
• Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure projects meet business objectives and compliance standards.
• Debug production issues across services and throughout the stack.
• Create and implement user interfaces using best practices and toolsets.
• Mentor, lead, and pair with others on the team.
• Engage and support internal and external customers.

Requirements

• Strong skills with Ruby on Rails, JavaScript (React preferred), and LLM APIs.
