Software Engineer AI Engineer

AI Robotix is hiring in the Dominican Republic.
We are looking for a Software Engineer / AI Engineer – Biomedical Platform to help build an AI-driven therapeutic hypothesis engine for drug discovery and biomedical research.
This role is for a strong technical builder who can work across modern software engineering, AI engineering, and agentic research infrastructure. You will help design and develop internal platforms for therapeutic hypothesis generation, scientific evidence analysis, model-powered workflows, and AI agentic pipelines.
We are looking for someone with experience or strong ability to grow quickly in:
* Python and modern backend development* API design and backend systems* SQL databases and data modeling* Git/GitHub and collaborative engineering workflows* AI SDKs and LLM application development* LLM APIs, embeddings, RAG, structured outputs, and tool calling* AI agentic pipelines and research automation workflows* Model evaluation, prompt engineering, and model-assisted reasoning systems* Data pipelines, ETL workflows, and scientific data processing* Docker, Linux, and cloud deployment basics* Security, documentation, and disciplined engineering practices* Ability to work closely with scientific, biomedical, and AI teams
The engineer will work closely with our scientific and AI leadership team in Santo Domingo to build internal tools, biomedical data pipelines, hypothesis-ranking systems, evidence workflows, AI-powered research infrastructure, and model-assisted systems for biomedical discovery.
This is a high-confidentiality role. Strict NDA, confidentiality, and IP assignment are required.
