About the role
Winston Towers Liquidadora Chile is hiring a full-time Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain back-end services and applications that support core business operations. The role is based in Peru and combines on-site work with work-from-home flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Write clean, efficient, and testable code, participate in code reviews, and troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements.
- Improve system performance, implement software engineering best practices, and contribute to planning and executing new features and enhancements.
- Follow agile development processes, document technical solutions, and help ensure security, reliability, and scalability.
Requirements
- Strong foundation in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Proficiency in software development and programming, with experience in at least one modern programming language such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience in back-end web development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and their application in large-scale systems.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases; basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is beneficial.
- Ability to analyze requirements, propose technical solutions, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Reliability, time management, and self-direction in a hybrid work environment in Peru.
