Technical Design & DevelopmentDesign, build, and scale AI-powered and full-stack applications that directly support business teams and member experiences.Participate in discovery and high-level design in partnership with product, UX, and business teams.Translate requirements into well-structured, testable, and maintainable code.Troubleshoot production and business issues through root cause analysis and corrective implementation.Ensure code quality, security, scalability, and maintainability across deliverables.
AI & Platform EngineeringDesign and implement AI-enabled features and agentic workflows to automate and enhance decision-making.Build predictive AI training and inference capabilities aligned with MLOps best practices.Incorporate CI/CD for ML, model versioning, monitoring, and reproducibility standards.Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to operationalize models into production.
Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner closely with product, data science, MLOps, and business stakeholders to deliver measurable business value.Provide technical guidance on feasibility and sustainable solution design. Support small-to-medium sized projects with accountability for delivery outcomes.
Engineering Excellence & GrowthContribute to scalable, cloud-native distributed solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Follow responsible AI practices ensuring fairness, security, and compliance.Mentor junior engineers and offshore associates within defined scopes. Demonstrate curiosity, innovation, and alignment with Walmart values.
Minimum QualificationsOption 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.Option 2: 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area. Preferred QualificationsExperience developing agentic AI solutions and predictive platforms.Knowledge of data governance and model observability.Experience building inclusive digital experiences aligned with WCAG 2.2 AA standardsStrong programming skills.Desire experience with ML frameworks and cloud-native engineering.Understanding of CI/CD, containerization, and distributed systems principles.
