Software Quality Assurance Tester

Job Description:We are looking for talented, driven individuals in Quito, Ecuador, to join our team. The right candidate would have an aptitude for software development and the attitude to jump in and learn a new platform. Deft would be providing training, coaching, and mentoring to support your growth.
Responsibilities Include:Estimates testing levels of effort for requirementsDetermines testing approach for break/fix and enhancement requestsDevelops test plans, scenarios, procedures, test cases, and RTMsMeets with the Business Analysis and internal business members to determine testing parametersExecutes detailed tests and test scriptsDocuments test resultsWork with the software development team to determine and resolve issuesAutomates tests as needed in testing tools to support automation, 508 compliance, and performance testingSupports UAT prep efforts in conjunction with business owners/usersMust be able to communicate verbally and in writing with customers, clients, vendors, and internal staffIdentifies and communicates risks in the testing process across all products and test frameworks.
Required:Fluent in professional and technical English, both oral and writtenBS in Computer Science or related fieldMinimum of 2 years of experience in Information Technology as a Software QA/TesterProficient in Microsoft Office toolsProficient with JIRADemonstrated abilities as a driven, self-starter, and quick study
Preferred:Bachelor’s degree in technology-related field or business administrationExperience with BPM platformsComfortable with Agile development practicesAgile Certification preferredAble to multi-task and shift priorities as neededWork effectively with numerous stakeholder types and bring a group to consensusExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent oral and written communication skills, especially in a client interaction contextExperience with developing and maintaining automated test scripts using test automation tools and frameworks
