Sourcing Site Leader

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Sourcing Site Leader.

What You’ll Do

Job Summary:

Drives cost out projects and events to result in savings to the bottom line. Assure materials are procured at the lowest total cost, per specification, in a timely manner. Evaluates procurement methods and applies most effective negotiating techniques based on the situation. Works with other department process owners to identify and prioritize opportunities to improve productivity, cost, quality and service. Manage and analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement.

The position is reponsible to work in all commodities in Direct and Indirect spend.

This position is also responsible to support Sourcing/Procurement activities on VAVE projects

Job Responsibilities

Support Eaton’s Sourcing initiatives driving results measured by lower material costs, responsive supplier performance, process and service improvements, and resultant productivity throughout the supply chain. Lead the supplier market analysis and ensure supplier qualification for RFQ’sFacilitate and execute cost reduction projects.Lead negotiations for site-specific projects.Evaluate cost reduction projects which are developed by colleagues.Assist other department process owners (Engineering, Production, Operations, and Finance) in identifying and prioritizing opportunities to improve productivity, cost, quality and service throughout the external supply chain.Assure that materials are procured at the lowest total cost, per specifications, in an efficient manner and delivered on time. Evaluates procurement methods and recommends/implements new procedures, strategies, and /or suppliers.Led Cost-Out events.

Qualifications

Education Level Required:

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

Preferred Qualifications: A Master in Business Administration, Finance or Productivity.

Years And Area Of Experience Required

5 years of experience in Purchasing/Procurement/Supply Chain.A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in project management.Proven capabilites of leadership of project teams.

Technical Knowledge

Proficient in Project Management methodologies.Knowledge of PPAP Validation processesNegotiation skillsKnowledge of Manufacturing processesKnowledge on legal contracts negotiations and risk management

Soft Skills

Excellent communication skills are a must (both Spanish & English)Team player and leadership skillsOrganized, dynamic, proactive, team leadership & process driven but pragmaticAble to achieve results via InfluenceAnalytical skills and business acumen Must be able to achieve goals by working collaboratively and cross-functionallyMust be able to travel on business up to 10% of the time
